"I was skeptical, the place looks like a corner grocery from my childhood and they really didn’t have that impressive of a meat counter. I actually walked back out to the car to call the guy who referred me there, to make sure I was at the right place. Then I went back in and bought $50 worth to try. Glad I did. The summer sausage and pork jerky were in the back, not displayed in the meat counter.
We have now had the time to eat a full stick of the summer sausage , a full piece of the pork jerky & also one huge ring bologna....this place is the real deal and I will be back.
I’d give the summer sausage a 10/10. It is the best summer sausage I’ve had & I make my own.
Pork jerky 10/10 also. Never thought to make jerky from pork but I sure will now. I make beef jerky from top round & this is different and prolly a lot cheaper to make.
Ring Bologna 10/10 also. This is my new favorite ring bologna also. Huge thick rings, guessing 2# or so?
